Mobile Device Support Policy
Liferay does not test the compatibility of clustered third-party LDAP solutions. As long as coherence is maintained by the external application and Liferay is able to interact with the application as a single unit, the product should operate without loss of functionality. If any issues pertaining to a clustered LDAP implementation are reported, those issues will only be tested and verified in a single node environment.
Liferay DXP 7.2 and Below
Liferay will default to ensuring that Edge Chromium is tested as compatible with Liferay DXP.
EdgeHTML or Edge Legacy
This article specifies the Liferay support policy for mobile devices when used with Liferay Digital Experience Platform, Liferay Portal EE, or Liferay Commerce ("the product"). Liferay Support offers support coverage for mobile devices and mobile browsers based on the product and its release date. Issues encountered while utilizing the Mobile Device Detection application are covered under the Marketplace Applications policy.Liferay DXP 7.3 and Above
EdgeHTML or Edge Legacy is not tested as compatible with Liferay DXP 7.3 and above. The resolution for issues reported while using Liferay DXP 7.3 and above with EdgeHTML will be to use Edge Chromium.
Liferay DXP 7.2 and Below
Liferay will default to ensuring that Edge Chromium is tested as compatible with Liferay DXP. However, we understand adopting a new enterprise-wide browser takes time, planning, and user training.
Liferay will maintain this level of effort until March 9, 2021. March 9, 2021 was the end of life date for Edge Legacy also called EdgeHTML. Lifeary only tests compatibility with products in active life. Since Edge Legacy has reached end of life only Edge Chromium will be tested for compatibility. Until September 10, 2021 Liferay will seek to resolve issues reported while using Liferay DXP 7.2 and below with EdgeHTML using a commercially reasonable effort and determined on a case-by-case basis. If the level of effort to resolve the issue is not commercially reasonable for Liferay Subscription Services then Liferay would seek to resolve the issue in Edge Chromium.Compatible Versions
Liferay has implemented LDAP integration in accordance with the protocol. However, there are specific LDAP applications which are utilized to test the product's LDAP integration point. Please see the Integrated Technologies Compatibility Matrix for Liferay DXP,

While using the product on Safari or Android mobile browsers it should be possible to access information. This includes navigation menus, content legibility and basic responsiveness of modules. This does not include access to administrative menus or views such as the control panel, site or page management, and other administrative tasks within the product. If an issue is encountered related to accessing information while using the product on Safari or Android mobile browsers, then the resolution of that issue is covered under the Product Defects policy.
