2022.11.09 - Release Updates

This release marks the start of an important milestone for Liferay Analytics Cloud since we are rewriting all of AC’s backend to provide scalability, and predictability and improve the performance of calculations, machine learning algorithms, and more. In this current release, we revamped the following cards/features with a more robust and reliable infrastructure. There’s more to be done but here’s an extensive list of what have been done so far:
  • Visitor Behavior Card (Pages and Assets: )
  • Views by Location Card (Pages and Assets)
  • Views by Technology Card (Pages and Assets)
  • Custom Asset Metric Histogram Card (Assets)
  • Submissions by Location (Assets → Forms → <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Submissions by Technology (Assets → Forms→ <selected site/asset>→ Overview
  • Web Content Listing (Assets → Web Content→ <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Forms Listing (Assets → Forms → <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Documents Listing (Assets → Documents and Media→ <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Blogs Listing (Assets → Blogs → <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Downloads by Location (Assets → Documents and Media → <selected site/asset>→ Overview)
  • Asset Appears On (Assets → <selected site/asset> → Overview)
Besides the many cards and features that have been improved with this release, we also fixed a lot of bugs:
  • Fix a bug that caused the Views by Technology Card to incorrectly reports interactions with Microsoft Edge as Google Chrome interactions.
  • Fix a bug that duplicated the number of Views recorded for Web Content.
  • Fix a bug that prevented a Custom Asset to appear on the custom list if it was created without the TITLE property.
  • Fix a bug that caused the Downloads by Location card to show data even when there’s no data on the filter.
  • Fix a bug that caused the Views by Location cad to show data even when there’s no data on the filter. Also, the percentage was showing a wrong value for the 24h filter. That is also fixed.
  • Fix a bug that prevented the Last Modified column (Assets → Custom → Add Report) to record the last update made by the user on the chosen asset for the Report.
  • Fix a bug that caused all the empty states of all Pages to display an incorrect message when there’s a data source with no properties on the workspace.
  • Fix a bug that caused a 404 error when accessing the Known Individuals tab on the Individual section.
  • Fix a bug that prevented an Anonymous user to be correctly identified after login, on the Site Activities card.
  • Fix a bug that prevented the number of Known Individuals to be correctly displayed on bar charts.
  • Fix a bug that prevented the Email report to be sent correctly.
