2023.01.09 - Release Updates

This is another release with significant changes for Liferay Analytics Cloud since we are rewriting all of AC’s backend to provide scalability, and predictability and improve the performance of calculations, machine learning algorithms, and more. We revamped the following cards/features in this current release with a more robust and reliable infrastructure. There’s more to be done but here’s an extensive list of what has been done so far:
Improved:
  • Visitor Metrics Card (Pages and Assets)
  • Views by Location Card (Pages and Assets)
  • Views by Technology Card (Pages and Assets)
  • Custom Asset Metric Histogram Card (Assets)
  • Known Individuals List (Sites -> Pages -> <selected site> -> Known Individuals)
  • Acquisitions (Sites -> Overview)
  • Visitors by Day and Time (Sites -> Overview)
  • Search Card (Sites -> Overview)
  • Sessions by Location (Sites -> Overview)
  • Sessions by Technology (Sites -> Overview)
  • Cohort Analysis (Sites -> Pages)
  • Known Individuals tab, on the Assets reports.
Besides the many cards and features that have been improved with this release, we also fixed a lot of bugs:
Bugs  Fixed:
  • Fix a bug that prevented the workspace timezone to display the correct timezone after changes.
  • Fix a bug that caused some data sources to remain connected even after disconnection.
  • Fix a bug that caused the Documents and Media to compute negative ratings on vote deletion.
  • Fix a bug that caused the acquisitions, search, and interest cards to behave inconsistently.
  • Fix a bug that prevented the Known Individuals tab to load properly.
